On the 18th of March, Saturday night Toyota held their annual Excellence Awards at the convention center. It was a glamorous black tie event that offered everything you would expect from Australia's most successful car company and was well attended by all the dealers from Central Region. Once again our humble firm punched well above our weight in achieving, sales, service, parts, guest experience, finance, business management and environmental awards. But for the first time since becoming Toyota Dealers in 1985 we took home the coveted Metro "Dealer of the Year" Award. In addition to this we were awarded a "Presidents Award" for Excellence which represents the highest achievement in all aspects of dealer performance and limited to 14 of Australia's most elite dealerships nationally.
To say we were thrilled is an understatement. Acknowledgment in this fashion is the validation of our people and their processes and supports our belief that we are on the right track. To my work mates who have worked so hard towards this goal, I am humbled by your commitment to our firm and just so proud of how you go about your business on a daily basis. Thank you. Of course we are nothing without the guests to our dealership that chose to do business with us. We acknowledge we are not perfect but we thank you for your loyal custom over many years. We do not take it for granted.
This is without doubt the highlight of my career and in every sense, Oh What a Feeling! Congratulations to Chris and Janet Szigeti and the team from Peter Kittle Toyota Pt Lincoln for winning Rural Dealer of the Year. I know how hard you have worked.
